Job Title: Contentious Construction Solicitor
Location: Glasgow and/or Edinburgh
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per year

As an organisation, they are recognised nationally and internationally for their expertise in the construction and engineering industries, as well as infrastructure and energy projects. With an impressive range of private and public sector clients, they provide comprehensive legal services throughout the project life cycle, including procurement strategies and all forms of dispute resolution.
Responsibilities:
As a Contentious Construction Solicitor, you will have the opportunity to work on high-quality engineering and construction matters, including live project advisory work and formal disputes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert legal advice on construction and engineering disputes in accordance with relevant laws and regulations
- Undertaking case management, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and preparing pleadings
- Representing clients in various dispute resolution processes, such as adjudication, arbitration, litigation, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution
- Building and maintaining sustainable client relationships through effective communication and exceptional client service
- Collaborating with colleagues within the Construction, Advisory, and Disputes team to deliver outstanding results for clients
- Proactively identifying and pursuing professional development opportunities to enhance your legal knowledge and skills
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
- Strong academic background in law
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Strong technical skills with the ability to provide effective solutions and insights
- Interest in construction and engineering disputes/advisory work, particularly within the infrastructure, energy, and/or real estate sectors
- Qualified as a Solicitor in either Scotland and/or England & Wales
- 1 to 6 years PQE
